Description
A detached estate of Higashi Hongan-ji.
Built on the site of the Rokujo Kawara-in pond garden, originally created by Minamoto no Toru, son of Emperor Saga.
The strolling garden has a clear stream running through it, and it's a lovely, refreshing space. The plum and cherry blossoms that color the grounds throughout the seasons are also worth seeing.
