Description
Located right in the center of Kyoto, this roughly 650,000-square-meter park is freely accessible and cherished by locals as a place to relax. Going clockwise from the north side, you'll find the Imadegawa Gate, Seiwain Gate, Sakaimachi Gate, and Hamaguri Gate. Within the grounds stand the Kyoto Imperial Palace, the Omiya Palace, the Sento Imperial Palace, and the former Kujo family villa "Shusui-tei," among others.
