Description
The formal name is Shakuzo-ji. Said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi, with the Jizo Bosatsu statue reportedly carved by the master himself. The walls around the hall are completely covered with ema votive tablets to which nail-pullers are attached. These were offered by people whose prayers were answered and illnesses healed.
