Description
One of the "Three Great Kobo" temples of Kyoto, founded by Kobo Daishi. Known as the "Yakuyoke Daishi" (Kobo Daishi of Evil-Warding). The other two of the Three Great Kobo are To-ji and Ninna-ji. The main hall enshrines a statue of Kobo Daishi carved by the master himself.
