Description
The temple buildings are normally closed to the public, but special openings are held in spring and autumn.
During special openings: 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, admission 500 yen. In autumn, prices go up — 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, admission 800 yen.
Founded in 1680 during the Edo period. While historically rooted in the Jodo (Pure Land) sect, it is now an independent religious corporation not affiliated with any particular denomination.
